Hamza Igamane wanted by Rangers as '£1.5m transfer offer launched' for rising star

Rangers have reportedly tabled a £1.5million bid for Moroccan striker Hamza Igamane.

The Ibrox side have already added Jefte, Oscar Cortes and Clinton Nsiala to their ranks this summer but Philippe Clement is keen to bolster his squad with even more signings before pre-season. The Gers boss wants to add more firepower to his frontline and reports suggest an offer has been made for rising star Igamane.

The 21-year-old forward currently plays for top-division side FAR Rabat and scored seven goals in 20 appearances for his club last season. The Moroccan Under-23 starlet mainly plays through the middle but can also be utilised as a winger. And his impressive form is said to have drawn attention from Glasgow's southside, with Moroccan outlet KoraMaroc suggesting both clubs are locked in talks.

Rangers are in dire need for fresh blood up front following the end-of-season departures of Kemar Roofe and loan attacker Fabio Silva. Brazilian striker Danilo is still recovering from a nightmare knee injury, leaving Cyriel Dessers as the only fit striker as things stand.

Igamane would fit the bill in terms of the profile of player Rangers are looking for as they scour the globe for young talent who can make an immediate impact, while also having a potentially significant sell-on value.
