Former Ipswich Town loanee Dominic Iorfa signed a new contract to remain at Sheffield Wednesday.

The 29-year-old defender was set to be a free agent this summer but has now penned a new deal to extend his stay at Hillsborough.

Iorfa moved to the Owls from Wolves in January 2019 and has since made over 100 appearances for South Yorkshire club.

He helped them win promotion to the Championship in 2022/23 and played a key role in Danny Rohl's side, who survived relegation from the second tier last season.

Speaking about his new deal on X (formerly Twitter), he said: “Happy to have signed a new contract at this club. Look forward to the new season ahead!"

In total, Iorfa made 25 appearances for the Blues, scoring once during his loan spell from Wolves in the 2017/18 season.
