Harry Kane handed unexpected boost in race for Golden Boot with Mo Salah facing ban
Harry Kane has been given hope of chasing down Mohamed Salah in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.
Kane trails the Egyptian by five strikes as we enter the final weeks of the season and the prize looked to be beyond the reach of the England international.
However, Salah is facing up to the prospect of missing three matches through suspension with a possible violent conduct charge looming large over him.
He appeared to swing an arm at Bruno Martins Indi during Liverpool’s goalless draw with Stoke at the weekend.

Referee Andre Marriner did not see the incident, opening up the possibility of a referral to the Football Association’s disciplinary panel for review.
Spurs have four Premier League games remaining starting with this tonight’s clash against Watford at Wembley.
