Hearts have no plans to change the current away allocations for Tynecastle ahead of the new season.

The Jambos have sold out most of their home fixtures in recent seasons and there is currently an unprecedented demand for season tickets. It's understood the Gorgie club have thousands of punters on a waiting list for their own seat and the club are close to selling out season tickets for a third successive year.

The extraordinary sales mean that Steven Naismith's side will continue to be backed by more than 15,500 home supporters at every home game as the club returns to the European group stages for the second time in three years.

And as home attendances remain extremely healthy in Gorgie, it spells bad news for Old Firm fans and other visiting clubs who hope to get their hands on tickets. The Edinburgh Evening News reports that all away fans, except Hibs, will continue to be allocated just one section of the Roseburn Stand for at least another campaign, which amounts to around 650 tickets.

However, an agreement with Hibs will see the Hibees given the full stand in return for the Jambos also being given an allocation of around 3,500 at Easter Road which will maximise the atmosphere at one of Scottish football's showpiece fixtures.

Hearts fans won't have to wait long until they see their team back in competitive action after the SPFL announced the Premiership fixture list earlier this week. The Jambos kick off their league campaign at home to Rangers, but have pre-season games against Leyton Orient, Spurs and Fleetwood Town before then.
