Henry Cejudo Faces Jussier Formiga at UFC Fight Night 78 in Mexico
Undefeated flyweight contender Henry Cejudo takes on third-ranked Jussier Formiga at UFC Fight Night 78 in Mexico on Nov. 21. UFC officials announced the match-up on Tuesday.
Cejudo (9-0) became an Olympic Gold Medalist in freestyle wrestling at 21 years old. At 28, he’s on a quest to capture the 125-pound mixed martial arts world title. A win over Formiga would put Cejudo next in line for a title shot.
Formiga (18-3) is on a three-fight winning streak and will be Cejudo’s toughest test to date. With title hopes of his own, Formiga hopes to derail the Olympian’s run at the belt.
