Tension
15 sts and 9 rows to 10cm square over treble crochet using 4.5mm hook.

Colourful cardigan free crochet pattern
Fronts (Make 2 the same)
Using 4.5mm crochet hook and C, ch3, sl st into furthest ch from hook to make a ring.
Row 1: Ch3 (counts as first tr throughout), working into ring, 2tr [ch2, 3tr] 3 times, turn.
3sts each side
Row 2: Ch3, miss first st, 2tr, [2tr, 2ch, 2tr] in chsp, [3tr, [2tr, 2ch, 2tr] in chsp] twice, 3tr. turn.
5 sts on 1st and last side, 7 sts on 2 centre sides.
Row 3: Ch3, miss first st, tr to chsp [2tr, 2ch, 2tr] in chsp, [tr to chsp, [2tr, 2ch, 2tr] in chsp] twice, 3tr. turn.
7 sts on 1st and last side, 11 sts on 2 centre sides.
Row 3 sets pattern repeat and is repeated throughout.
Work a further row in A. 9 sts on 1st and last side, 15 sts on 2 centre sides.
Change to B, work 2 rows. 13 sts on 1st and last side, 23 sts on 2 centre sides.

Row 2: Using A (C: A), ch3, miss first st, tr to end, turn.
Change to C (A:C), rep row 2 twice more.
Fasten off first side, do not fasten off second side.
Join sides
Place both backs together with centre back edges together, dc along to close.
With RS of Back facing (dc join on WS), Match fronts to either side, leaving centre back open for neck opening. Using C, dc along top longer edge to close centre of sleeve and shoulder seam. Join sleeve rows using mattress stitch 1 st in.
Sleeve rib (work both the same)
With RS facing, join B to sleeve edge. 72 (88:104) sts. (4 sts used in joining seams)
