It’s been an emotional time on Hollyoaks lately, and tonight's (May 29) first-look episode proved no different as Imran Maalik confirmed his exit plans after some last-minute doubts.

Imran has been thinking about leaving the village for a number of weeks, but reconsidered his options after learning that Juliet's health had taken a turn for the worse.

After making a decision to stay, Imran resolved to get his old job back, but Tony had already planned for his absence. Gifting Imran his lucky spatula, Tony gave him something to think about as he wanted him to pursue greater opportunities, and admitted he didn't have a job for him.

After hanging out together in the park, Brooke left Juliet and Imran alone for a heartfelt conversation, with Juliet pleading with him to make his move to London. Saying she didn't want to be remembered for "being sick", Juliet assured him that he wasn't leaving her and wanted him to go.

Juliet had four requests for Imran: that he would "never stop being annoying", that he would "kiss loads of girls" and that he would "live the life" for himself, before an emotional plea that he would never forget her.

With the pair hugging amidst the tears, Juliet proclaimed that she loved Imran, even if it might be an "idiot". Meanwhile, Misbah was nervous that her son wouldn't follow through on his dreams, believing that he was ready to move on.

After a pep talk, Imran made the decision to move to London, reasoning that it was the best for both his own life and Juliet's. A proud Misbah, with a tear in her eye, said he had made the right decision as he took a brave step forward.
