HOT FOOTBALL GOSSIP: Leicester ready to let Vardy go, Spurs to offer West Brom Townsend and £25m for Berahino

Jamie Vardy is the Premier League’s hottest property and at his most valuable.

So Leicester City are ready to cash in on their prized asset in January – if the Independent are to be believed.

The record-breaking scorer, who netted in his 11th match in a row yesterday, will be on his way if Chelsea, Manchester City – or whoever – show the colour of at least £30m.

Meanwhile, the Saido Berahino transfer saga goes on at White Hart Lane.

Having had a series of bids rejected by West Brom, Spurs are now ready to offer Tony Pulis £25m plus Andros Townsend for the wantaway striker – according to the Daily Star.

Townsend has been in trouble recently for a public spat with a coach and was axed from the squad as a result so Pulis needs to decide if he wants to offload one boat rocker for another.

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger is ready to derail Chelsea’s pursuit of Everton defender John Stones with a huge offer in January – says the Sunday Mirror.

It looks like Arsenal will have to start the bidding at around £35m but their hopes could be dashed as The Sun reports that the 21-year-old has been taking Spanish lessons, fuelling speculation he could be off to La Liga champions Barcelona.

At least Arsenal are favourites to land Germany midfielder Lars Bender, 26, from Bayer Leverkusen in January – at least, according to the Evening Standard.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp looks set for a busy time with his cheque book and pen.

The Star reports he will dip into his old Dortmund squad to snaffle £31.5m-rated winger Marco Reus and defender Mats Hummels, both 26, valued at £24.5m, while the Sun on Sunday claims Klopp is set to swoop for Stoke keeper Jack Butland for around £20m.

Finally, where would Sunday be without a bit of Cristiano Ronaldo speculation?

The Sunday Mirror reports the Real Madrid hyperstar is ready to return to Manchester United EVEN IF he gets an offer from Paris St-Germain (and DESPITE the mind-numbing tactics of LVG presumably).

But if he does go to Old Trafford, LVG might not even be in charge as the Sunday Telegraph states that Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has put United top of his wish list, something that will no doubt cheer up Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, whose job at Eastlands has already been offered to Guardiola according to some media outlets, but not the Daily Mail who say the ex-Barcelona boss is remaining tight-lipped about taking over at City.
