The Daily Star on Sunday report that Louis van Gaal is insisting he will be at Old Trafford next year while the Sunday Mirror report Jose Mourinho will be paid by Manchester United - even if he never works for them, which we are sure will endear Ed Woodwad to United fans and money men alike. Apparently any deal with the 53-year-old Portuguese includes a "substantial" compensation clause should United decide to retain the Dutchman. Nice work Ed.

Oh and replacing the stand-out midfield player in the Premier League this season. The Foxes will move for Sporting Lisbon's William Carvalho, 24, if Kante departs. This is news which will disappoint Arsenal who seem to have been tracking the Portuguese international since he emerged kicking and screaming into the world. Take your time though Arsene, you don’t want to rush this quest to replace Patrick Vieira and Emmanual Petit.

Speaking of the currently disgruntled Gunners, the Sunday Mirror report that Arsenal will move for Robert Lewandowski, should the Poland striker decide to leave Bayern Munich. If this deals comes off your loyal correspondent will be straight off to propose a nice night out with a steak dinner to Mila Kunis. Watch this space.

The French speedster has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs but a move to east London would be a good move for all concerned.
