Injury Removes Demetrious Johnson vs. Wilson Reis from UFC 201

An undisclosed injury to Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson has forced his next title defense off of the UFC 201 fight card. MMAWeekly.com confirmed the move following an initial report by Globo.com.

Johnson was supposed to put his belt on the line against Wilson Reis in the UFC 201 co-main event on July 30 in Atlanta, Ga. Instead of just pulling Johnson from the card, the decision was apparently made to move the fight to a later, undetermined date.

The flyweight champ has been unstoppable since winning the belt nearly four years ago. He's defeated nearly every top contender in the division, several of them twice. He's defense against Reis, however, will have to wait.

UFC 201 features Robbie Lawler defending his welterweight title against Tyron Woodley in the main event at Philips Arena.
