Can you imagine living under the same roof as your boss? For some, that idea would be a nightmare. For Alexis Sanchez, it has become a reality.

Manchester United’s newest signing has checked into the five-star Lowry Hotel as he gets to grips with life in a new city.

He joins United manager Jose Mourinho in calling the Lowry home as the Special One has been living in the building since his appointment 18 months ago.

The pair are both staying in one of six of the hotel’s luxurious Riverside Suites, which cost guests an average of £816 a night.

Sanchez invited his fans in for a glimpse of his new surroundings on Tuesday when posting on his dogs’ Instagram account after moving them north from London.

Labradors Atom and Humber were dressed in Red Devils shirts emblazoned with the name of their owner as the Chilean settles into his room.

The Lowry’s Riverside Suites are 90 square metres, making them the largest in Manchester, and there is one on each floor of the hotel overlooking the River Irwell.

Sanchez has been joined by his mother at the Lowry and Mourinho continues to use it as a base rather than rent a property.

Suites boast a separate lounge and dining area for four people, bathroom, walk-in wardrobe and a kitchenette for preparing meals.

We doubt Sanchez will be doing much cooking though as he can afford to splash out on a few meals given his wages are said to have swelled to £350,000 a week at Old Trafford.

All six of the rooms are packed with technology and gadgets, including two Smart TVs, high-speed broadband and two direct-dial telephones.

There is also of course the standard tea and coffee-making facilities as well as a gym and spa on-site at the hotel, which is just three miles from the club’s stadium.

Sanchez could make his Manchester United against lowly Yeovil Town on Friday night in the FA Cup.
