IPL 2021: Aakash Chopra Picks His Two Finalists Of The Cash-Rich League

Former Team India player turned veteran commentator Aakash Chopra has picked the finalists of the upcoming second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021), slated to take place in the UAE.

The T20I tournament, which was postponed due to the global pandemic COVID-19 in India on May 3, will resume next week. Delhi Capitals are placed at the top of the points table followed by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Notably, CSK had a rather forgettable season last year where they failed to qualify for the playoffs for the very first time. But this season they have bounced back well and played exceptionally well too.

While replying who will win the IPL title this year, Aakash Chopra tweeted: “MI v CSK final”

Apart from that, he also replied to a few more things as well.

However, Aakash Chopra has recently taken a jibe at the sports media for giving more attention to the ‘sources’ over certified comments given by BCCI officials on the current situation of Indian cricket. He stated that the ‘sources’ give more interesting content and conspiracy theories as well.

“The most interesting thing about this is that we have got the news via ‘sources’, but there’s been an official interaction with Mr. Dhumal as well. Mr. Dhumal, the BCCI treasurer, said there had been no such meeting and the report was a figment of imagination. But what gets more attention from our beautiful media? The news from the ‘sources’ because that is far more interesting, it has conspiracy theories and the world is open to debate which feels nice. The actual officials from the board aren’t listened to. That’s why I’d suggest you just wait and watch…,” Aakash Chopra said in a Q&A interaction on his YouTube channel.

“If Rohit becomes captain, great, if not even then it’s absolutely fine because it’s not about Virat or Rohit, it’s about Indian cricket,” Aakash Chopra further added.
