IPL 2021: Brian Lara Picks Winner Between Sunrisers Hyderabad & Royal Challengers Bangalore

Sunrisers Hyderabad & Royal Challengers Bangalore both play their penultimate game against each other in Abu Dhabi later tonight. While RCB have made it to the playoffs, SRH were the first team to be eliminated from IPL 202. So far the side has lost 10 matches and won just 2. Meanwhile, Brian Lara has picked the winner between both sides in tonight’s clash.

Lara said that RCB would like to win this game and aim at finishing in the top two. The side is placed third on the points table with 18 points to his name.

“RCB can’t and wouldn’t allow the bottom place team, SRH, to put a dent in their confidence at this crucial stage of the IPL. They would also want to finish in the Top 2 for an easier route to the finals. RCB will dominate SRH” said Lara.

Expect Virat Kohli To Shine With The Bat: Brian Lara

Brian Lara has also predicted Virat Kohli to score runs against the Orange Army. So far Kohli has scored 357 runs from 12 games while Glenn Maxwell with over 400 runs is the team’s leading run-getter.

“I expect Virat Kohli to shine with the bat, and also his captaincy,” Lara said.

Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals and RCB have qualified for the playoffs so far with the fight for the fourth spot still open. However, the top three sides are fighting for a place in the top two for a second chance at playing the IPL final.

“It feels amazing (qualification). I don’t think after 2011, we haven’t done it with games to spare, but it’s a great position to be in. Eight wins out of 12 games is a great campaign for the team” – Kohli said after making the playoffs.
