The second phase of Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) is all set to commence on September 19 in the UAE with defending champions Mumbai Indians going up against Chennai Super Kings. Incidentally, the tournament was postponed on May 4 after a couple of bio-bubble breaches in the camps. A couple of cricketers along with a few support staffs tested COVID-19 positive which compelled BCCI to defer the tournament.

Although the tournament is set to resume, several cricketers have backed out due to bio-bubble fatigues, injuries, and tight schedules. However, teams have already announced their respective replacements for the players who won’t be participating in the second phase of IPL 2021.
