Sunrisers Hyderabad’s spinner Rashid Khan is gearing up for the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League 2021, which will kickstart on September 19.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad had a dismal outing in the first phase of the league. They are placed at the bottom at the table with just one win in seven matches, at a Net Run Rate of -0.623. However, Rashid Khan is confident of his team doing well in the second phase.

In an interview shared on Sunrisers Hyderabad’s social media account, Rashid Khan said that he is looking forward to the tournament and is confident of performing as he has the experience of playing in the UAE. Rashid stated,

“Happy to be back with the guys in the orange army and looking forward to the rest of the season playing here in the UAE. I am pretty confident, had good games in The Hundred and the Vitality Blast, so looking forward to the games starting soon and looking forward to finishing off well.”

Over the last few years, the leg-spinner has also been very handy with the bat. When asked about whether he is working on his batting, Rashid said,

“Definitely. I think for the last one and a half years, I have been working on my batting where the team needs it at the end, 15-25 runs, they are very crucial for the team while setting and chasing the target. So, just trying my best to do a few things.”

Rashid Khan admitted that the Sunrisers Hyderabad did not perform as per the expectations. But he stated that the team will be giving their hundred percent and treat every game as a final in the UAE leg of IPL 2021.

“We did not have an ideal first half of the competition in India, but looking forward in UAE and finish off well, take every game as a final for us and give hundred percent.”

“I think we played enough enough here in the UAE conditions. I have played before the UK tour here, does not need to change much just pick up the mindset, which area is pretty good on this wickets and just bowl according to the conditions and situations. It’s just the kind of belief and confident I have to deliver for the team,” Rashid Khan said.
