IPL 2021: Watch- MS Dhoni Curses After Being Dismissed By Ravi Bishnoi

In the Match 53 of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Punjab Kings won the toss and asked CSK to bat first. Chennai was in a spot of bother when they lost 4 of their wickets for 42 runs. In walked at no.6, skipper MS Dhoni who was looking to find some form ahead of the approaching playoffs. When he dispatched Ravi Bishnoi’s flighted delivery towards covers for a four, it seemed that the vintage Dhoni was back.

However, despite the positive approach, Dhoni once again failed to read the googly and lost his wicket. This was the 3rd time Bishnoi dismissed MS and on all three occasions, the 21-year old has trapped the veteran with a googly.

However this time Dhoni’s reaction after the dismissal has caught the attention of fans. Dhoni usually doesn’t express a lot of emotions when he’s on the field, neither while keeping nor while batting. But this time after getting dismissed Dhoni uttered a Hindi cuss word that rhymes with the name of English all-Rounder ‘Ben Stokes‘. In no time, the internet was flooded with hilarious reactions to the video.

MS Dhoni’s CSK Losing Steam Before The Playoffs

Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have now lost three games in a row after being the first team to qualify for the playoffs. The batting form of MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Robin Uthappa is a big worry for the franchise as they would not like to play the knockout matches, being overdependent on their openers.

There are some concerns with the bowling department as well because there have been 2 matches now, where the opposition has made the game one-sided within the first six overs employing a counter-attacking approach against the CSK bowlers.

Speaking at the post-match presentation after the game against Punjab, MS Dhoni said:

“You have to cope (when it comes to mental or skill aspect) up with that. We had played very good cricket to reach the playoff stages. We had a few bad games 2 out of 3 and one we felt like we could have a comeback and that’s part and parcel d in leagues like these, you have to be at your best. Motivation is not a factor, the guys are highly motivated and maybe we need to tune up slightly as to what needs to be done and also a few tosses if they had gone our way. It would have looked worse winning toss and batting on that wicket and I felt the wicket changed a bit, it was a bit challenging but it was a good wicket.”
