Robin Uthappa is yet to make his debut for Chennai Super Kings. He joined the franchise in IPL 2020 but has found hard to break through a settled playing XI. However, he is one of the most experienced players in the IPL and is an ideal team man for CSK.

However, after CSK’s win against RCB, earlier this week, Robin Uthappa did something which grabbed a lot of eyeballs. The video of Uthappa carrying MS Dhoni and Raina’s bat after CSK’s win is doing the rounds across various social media platforms.

Both Dhoni and Uthappa go way back to 2007. Uthappa was a part of the Indian squad which won the T20 World Cup in 2007. He also was a part of the squad under Dhoni which won the Commonwealth Bank Series in 2008.

Chennai Super Kings beat KKR by the narrowest of margins in their last game after beating RCB in their previous game. Two back to back wins has taken the sie to 16 points and are currently at the top of the points table.

“It’s a very nice victory to have. What we’ve seen in cricket is at times you play good cricket and lose the game, while at times you don’t really play well but still if you win the game – it’s slightly more enjoyable for the simple reason that you’ll still address the mistakes but going back one and a half hours to Dubai you’ll be in a better mood. So a terrific game at the end of the day. It was good cricket from both sides and it was a pleasure for the spectators. I think in patches we bowled well. Bowlers took responsibility” said Dhoni.
