The 2024 European Championships are set to be a star-studded affair both on and off the pitch, with BBC and ITV boasting big names in their coverage. The tournament kicks off in Germany this Friday evening.

England, the pre-tournament favourites, are hoping to end a 58-year wait for another major international trophy from the men's team. This is likely manager Gareth Southgate's last opportunity with the Three Lions.

However, they must first bounce back from their recent 1-0 defeat to Iceland in their final warm-up match before the competition begins. They have a prime opportunity to do so in their first group stage clash against Serbia this Sunday.

Following that, they'll face Denmark and Slovenia in their final two games in Group C. If all goes well, they'll qualify for the knockout stages where they could face a variety of teams depending on their group finish.

But who will be the faces and voices guiding us through the tournament on the country's two biggest channels?

For the BBC, Gary Lineker and Gabby Logan will return as the broadcaster's main presenters. A number of commentators, including Guy Mowbray, Jonathan Pearce and Vicki Sparks, will head to Germany.

They'll be joined in the commentary box by the likes of Alan Shearer, Jermaine Jenas, and Danny Murphy.

The BBC has announced a star-studded line-up for its coverage of the tournament, with ex-West Ham boss David Moyes and former England internationals Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, Ellen White and Micah Richards among the pundits. Brentford boss Thomas Frank will also be on hand to provide his insights.
