Iuri Alcantara's Submission-Chain Finish Tops UFC 204 Fighter Bonuses
There were many skeptics of the UFC 204 match-up between middleweight champion Michael Bisping and No. 13 ranked challenger Dan Henderson, but many of the skeptics were quieted when they saw how the fight played out.
And even if the doubters weren't satisfied, UFC officials certainly were, they awarded Bisping and Henderson the UFC 204 Fight of the Night honors.
Henderson nearly put Bisping away with his patented H-Bomb overhand right, not once, but twice, in the first two rounds. Bisping, however, weathered the storm and did enough in the judges eyes to earn their nod, no matter what story the damage to his face told.
The Fight of the Night award earned each fighter an additional $50,000 bonus for his performance.

Alongside the Fight of the Night award, officials also awarded two Performance of the Night bonuses. Those went to Jimi Manuwa and Iuri Alcantara.
Manuwa withstood some early tests from Ovince Saint Preux in the middle of the UFC 204 main card on pay-per-view to come up with a devastating second-round finish. Manuwa sent Saint Preux down with a right hand. When he got back to his feet, Manuwa then dropped him for the final time with a left hook, earning his bonus.
Iuri Alcantara's finish inside of Brad Pickett in the prelim headliner may have been the most exciting of the night. He hit Pickett with a spinning elbow and then dropped him with a left hook. Alcantara followed with numerous punches to his downed opponent, but somehow Pickett survived the onslaught.
