Jack Grealish was filmed mocking Newcastle's Miguel Almiron during jubilant player scenes on Manchester City's Premier League title parade.

Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez were also in the firing line as the England international aimed friendly jabs at their displays during the final day drama against Aston Villa.

After Silva asked him on camera about the secrets to City's success, the forward cheekily said Mahrez deserved to be substituted as he was playing like Almiron.

Grealish also appeared alongside Kevin De Bruyne in footage Silva posted on Instagram stories. When asked for the secrets behind their 3-2 victory comeback to beat Villa, Grealish said: "There were two secrets... number one, Riyad, take him off the pitch, as soon as possible. He played like Almiron yesterday."

Amid fits of giggles among the players, he then added: "Number two, [pointing at Silva] he's been so good this season, get him off the pitch."

However, Silva, in sunglasses, then quipped back at the former Villa player: "Number three... keep Jack Grealish on the f------ bench."

It had been the second time Grealish had delivered a brutal put down of Silva, who was the player replaced by double goalscorer Ilkay Gundogan on Sunday .

“I said earlier on the coach, it’s been brilliant to win my first title,” Grealish also told fans. “I want to thank everyone – but the main person I want to thank is Bernardo Silva for coming off in the 70th minute because he was miles off it yesterday.”

Banter between the players was posted online as Grealish and others unwound with beers as tens of thousands of fans turned out for the city-centre parade on Monday.

Pep Guardiola had also been in jovial mood, joking it had been part of his plan all along that City should fall 2-0 behind against Villa. City scored three goals in six minutes to beat Villa 3-2 and edge out Liverpool by a single point, City shared the moment with thousands of supporters along Deansgate.

Guardiola had appeared on stage puffing on his now customary cigar to thank fans “It was the plan, 0-2, calm, calm,” Guardiola said with a laugh. “And after we scored it was a great night.”
