Jack Hendry brutally mocked as shock jock pundit brands Scotland 'worst team by far' at Euro 2024

Sneering Dutch legend Johan Boskamp has mocked Scotland stopper Jack Hendry and claimed he's quicker than him at the age of 75.

And the shock jock pundit claimed Scotland are by far the worst team at the Euros. Steve Clarke's side are licking their wounds after a bruising 5-1 defeat against hosts Germany. But the Scots have the opportunity to bounce back tomorrow night, albeit against a resurgent Switzerland side who thrashed Group A rivals Hungary 3-1 on Sunday night.

Ex-Feyenoord star Boskamp tuned into our opening day mauling and like millions of others watching on, was far from impressed by what he witnessed. And the former Anderlecht, Gent and Stoke City manager unleashed a stinging attack on Al-Ettifaq defender Hendry as he wrote off our chances of reaching the knockouts.

Boskamp said: "With Jack Hendry in the team you are always going to have a hard time at this level. Even at my advanced age, I could still turn faster than that guy. Only one team has really been outplayed at the Euros... Scotland.

"The Netherlands also had a hard time with Poland, Albania also did more than decent against Italy. But how weak were Scotland in that opening match? It really wasn't normal.

"It seemed like they allowed Germany to safely win the game before half time. Scotland are by far the weakest team I have seen at this European Championship."
