Liverpool is among the Premier League heavyweights keeping a close eye on Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala, who has been turning heads at Euro 2024.

He found the back of the net in both of Germany's opening matches, helping them secure a spot in the knock-out stage and putting himself in early contention for player of the tournament.

According to the Independent, Liverpool is one of a few clubs monitoring Musiala, who is open to a move to England. However, the Bundesliga runner-up's asking price could be a stumbling block for Arne Slot's side, unless they can negotiate that valuation down by offering players in exchange.

Liverpool.com takes a look at three players who could potentially make way as Musiala's transfer value continues to skyrocket this summer.

Luis Diaz

Should Musiala make the switch to Anfield, he would likely slot into the front three, possibly on the left where he has flourished under Julian Nagelsmann.

That position could be freed up by Luis Diaz, who continues to be linked with a move to clubs such as Bayern, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, with his wage demands reportedly proving a hurdle in securing a prolonged stay in Merseyside.

Musiala turned down a new contract with Bayern in March, which could pave the way for Diaz to make the move to the Allianz Arena and potentially fill the void left by their English-raised star.

Joe Gomez

Amid his hunt for a new central defender, Bayern's latest gaffer Vincent Kompany has Joe Gomez on the radar, with the Liverpool stalwart as a backup plan should Jonathan Tah reject a move from Bayer Leverkusen.

Last season saw Gomez at his zenith in a Liverpool jersey, proving indispensable to Jurgen Klopp amid a swath of injuries, but it's up in the air how he'll fit into Slot's scheme.

Gomez clawed his way back into the England squad for Euro 2024, yet under Slot, he might find himself playing fourth fiddle after Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahim Konate and Jarrell Quansah, potentially making him the perfect bargaining chip to sweeten any deal for Musiala.

Sepp van den Berg

Sepp van den Berg has unabashedly declared his intent to leave Liverpool come this summer after an outstanding stint at Mainz, with performances not lost on Bayern. Even with Slot, a fellow Dutchman, taking the reins, the 22-year-old looks poised to exit.

Van den Berg could find himself embraced by Bayern who are in pursuit of defensive fortifications, providing an avenue for the young Dutchman to hone his skills within the Bundesliga - an environment in which hes already expressed admiration.

"(Liverpool) didn't exude confidence in me all this time, but you do want to hinder my future," vented Van den Berg in a bombshell interview. "I want to keep playing every week and develop myself further. In Germany, I enjoy Dortmund away with 70,000 people, Bayern Munich away against Harry Kane, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Leverkusen, against clubs like that I am challenged every week."
