Jenkins becomes Blues' 17th addition of summer

PORTLAND United have agreed terms with forward Patrick Jenkins for the 2024/25 season.

Teenager Jenkins becomes the 17th confirmation in the Blues’ squad this summer.

Jenkins scored eight goals in 14 appearances for Blandford United in the 2022/23 Dorset Premier League season.

He then stepped up two divisions with Sherborne Town in the Wessex League Premier for 2023/24, scoring seven times in 31 matches, including in a 3-2 comeback win at Bournemouth Poppies.

Jenkins also skippered the Pro Direct Academy side last season.

“I am delighted to join Portland United for next season and hope I can play a big role in bringing success to the club. I can’t wait to get started,” Jenkins told Portland’s media team.

Portland boss Kyle Critchell added: “I’m delighted to have secured Pat for the season. A wonderful young lad with bags of potential who will fit right into our group of young, hungry players.”

Jenkins joins Freddie Beale, Shaun Bessant, Jamie Symes, Crit Clarke, Hayden Scott, Matt Harvey, Jacob Coombs, Jamie Cleaver, skipper Josh Williams, vice Connor Callow, Greg Borthwick, Joe Wickham, Jack Delves, Sam Gadsby, Harrison Bruton and Josh Camp in agreeing terms for 2024/25.
