JHS girls to open Dallas ISD Holiday Invite against Lakeview Centennial

Dec. 24—DALLAS — Jacksonville High School's Fightin' Maiden basketball team has draw Garland-Lakeview Centennial as its first round opponent in the 83rd Dallas ISD Holiday Invitational.

The Maidens (14-6) will take on the Lady Patriots (11-7) out of District 9-6A at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The game will be played at the Roosevelt High School Gymnasium (525 Bonnie View Dr., Dallas, Texas 75203)

Jacksonville-Lakeview Centennial will face either Dallas Lincoln or Humble in the second round.

If the Maidens win they would play at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Roosevelt against the Lincoln-Humble loser, and should they lose, they would have a 4:30 p.m. game the winner of the Lincoln-Humble game.

The tournament, which also has Tyler Legacy and Van from East Texas entered, will run through Thursday.

The championship tilt is slated to get under way at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ella Davis Fieldhouse in Dallas.
