Jonathan Quick leaves Kings vs. Sharks game with injury

Through one period, Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Quick made 14 saves on 15 shots against the San Jose Sharks.

But in the second period, it was Jeff Zatkoff playing goal for the Kings.

Uh-oh.

Quick was pulled from the Kings’ season opener with what the team is calling a lower-body injury. It appears as though Quick may have been injured in the last minute of the first period, as the video shows:

As you can see, he was a bit labored after appearing to slip in the crease making a save.

GM Dean Lombardi said the timeline for Quick’s injury “could be a while.” Again, uh-oh.

Best of luck to Quick in his recovery, as he’s may or may not be on my fantasy team …
