Jude Bellingham has hailed the attacking prowess of Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale after the duo were caught combining during England training in Germany.

Ramsdale, 26, endured a difficult season after Mikel Arteta dropped him down to second-choice behind David Raya after the Spaniard joined on loan from Brentford. In fact, Ramsdale started just two Premier League matches following the September international break. Both of them came against the Bees - a fixture in which Raya could not feature in due to facing his parent club.

Despite this, Ramsdale has been named in the England squad for Euro 2024 as one of three goalkeepers alongside Everton's Jordan Pickford and Crystal Palace's Dean Henderson. Like at Arsenal, it's expected that Ramsdale will act as No.2 for the tournament, with the Three Lions set to face Serbia in their Group C opener on Sunday.

In preparation for that, England have been training at Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld, the home of German club Carl Zeiss Jena in Erfurt. After Tuesday's session, England posted a video on Instagram showing the squad doing an intense multi-goal drill which saw the goalkeepers acting as outfielders.

In that clip, Ramsdale was caught involved in a free-flowing move with the Arsenal man receiving the ball from Tom Heaton, who is being used as a training goalkeeper, before laying a pass inside to Eberechi Eze. The Crystal Palace midfielder then played a first-time pass into the feet of Bellingham, who somehow found the audacity to backheel the ball into the mini-goal despite the best efforts of Marc Guehi trying to stop him.

After, Ramsdale then celebrated with Bellingham as the duo formed a 'piggy-back' before continuing with the training session. In response to the clip, Real Madrid star Bellingham shared it on his Instagram story, captioning it with @aaronramsdale 9 & 10 followed by the laughing face emoji and the star eyes emoji.

It shows that Ramsdale, despite his poor form, can still contribute in more ways than one. Although Pickford is set to start against Serbia on Sunday, the ex-Bournemouth and Sheffield United stopper will be hoping to get at least some minutes on the pitch during the tournament.
