Junior parkrun at Battery Park sees young runners strive despite rain

A few spots of rain did not stop a group of young runners and volunteers from participating in a junior parkrun at Battery Park.

Kalli made her debut this week while Mason, Murray, Bradley, Ellie and Fergus set their new personal best times.

In a milestone moment, Caitlin celebrated her 25th volunteering stint.

Elijah triumphed as the first finisher with eight minutes and four seconds on the clock, closely followed by Sam and Mason at nine minutes and 43 seconds, and nine minutes and 47 seconds respectively.

Faye, as the leading girl, came second overall in nine minutes and two seconds, and Anna and Quinn completed the top three girls' positions.

The organisers are on the look for volunteers for the upcoming weeks.
