Liverpool said goodbye to Jurgen Klopp for the final time on Sunday in an emotional afternoon at Anfield.

Klopp's nine-year stint at the club was confirmed earlier in the season to send shockwaves around the footballing world. After a busy end of the season, the German got to soak in the love from supporters on the final day of the season.

Liverpool defeated 10-men Wolverhampton Wanderers over the weekend but the day was for Klopp. After seeing his team conclude a historic era in fashion, his backroom staff received a great reception before Klopp thanked supporters for all their support at an emotional Anfield.

“Honestly, for whatever reason, it doesn’t feel like an end," Klopp said in his speech. "It just feels like the start, because I saw today a football team playing full of talent, full of youth, full of creativity, full of desire, full of grit.

"So we have this wonderful stadium, we have this wonderful training centre, we have you, the super power of world football. Wow."

Klopp spent the following hours speaking to the press to digest a brilliant nine years in England. Following his media duties, Klopp took to his newly-formed Instagram page with one final thank you to supporters.

Posting alongside an image of him posing in front of a small section of fans who had waited behind, he wrote: "3 hours after the game, I've done all my interviews and the last press conference... it's so great to see that some of you are still here"

The Liverpool boss went on to enjoy himself at the club's end-of-season party with footage circulating on social media of him dancing alongside legend John Barnes.
