Liverpool is reportedly on the list of clubs that Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich would consider joining if he decides to leave this summer. And former Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was already given a glowing review of the German.

The 28 year old German midfielder, who is in the final year of his contract at Allianz Arena, has been linked with a move away from the club. It's no surprise that Kimmich is attracting interest from the Premier League given his current contract situation.

Reports suggest that Kimmich is open to leaving Bayern during the transfer window, with the club ready to cash in as new head coach Vincent Kompany eyes Fulham's Joao Palhinha. Liverpool has shown interest in Kimmich before, and according to Sky Sport Germany, the Reds are among the top European clubs that the player would consider if a transfer from Bundesliga happens.

Besides Liverpool, Kimmich is also said to be considering Manchester City, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Real Madrid. Liverpool are anticipated to be busy in the transfer market with Arne Slot taking over the reins after Klopp's departure last month.

It's yet to be seen whether bolstering the midfield is on the agenda for the Dutch manager and Liverpool's new sporting director, Richard Hughes, especially considering the signings of Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch last year.

Despite this, Joshua Kimmich continues to be linked with a move to Anfield, with former Reds favourites such as John Barnes and Danny Murphy endorsing the potential signing. Murphy even suggested that the German midfielder would have been a 'dream signing' for Klopp.

"I think they are ahead of schedule," Murphy said back in January to BBC. "They transformed the whole midfield in the summer with four new signings and they have all had an impact at times this season."

"Three of the four came from clubs where they haven't been under pressure and they have adapted well. I think they will sign a centre half because they have lost Joel Matip for the season."

"They are heavily reliant on Virgil van Dijk and [Jarell] Quansah is a decent young talent but he is inexperienced. In an ideal world, I would like a midfielder like Joshua Kimmich, someone who can dictate play and games, who is real top quality."
