Jurgen Klopp has seen the back of two things that annoyed him at Liverpool

Liverpool will return to action on Saturday with a trip to West Ham as they look to keep their Premier League title hopes alive.

The Reds are currently third in the table, three points off league leaders Arsenal and with an inferior goal difference. They also sit two points behind reigning champions Manchester City with Pep Guardiola's side having a game in hand over Jurgen Klopp's team.

And one gripe the departing Reds boss will be grateful to see the back of is the 12.30pm kick-offs. Saturday's game in East London will be the final match of the campaign to kick off at the time for Liverpool, with the German previously expressing his displeasure at seeing his team play at that early time slot.

Speaking ahead of the international break in November last year, Liverpool's German manager was left perplexed that their huge game against Man City was kicking off at 12.30pm. The Reds went on to draw 1-1 at the Etihad on November 25.

"The boys responded sensationally well," he said after his team's 3-0 win over Brentford. "Now they are all gone and we can train once before Manchester City.

"How can you put a game like this on Saturday at 12.30pm? Honestly, the people making these decisions, they cannot feel football, it is just not possible. And it is the moment where the world pays the most to see a football game."

Merseyside derbies are another gripe Klopp has expressed his displeasure at. The Reds lost 2-0 at Everton on Wednesday, leaving their title bid in tatters.

"It’s always a completely different game, so I really very often don’t like the intensity of the game, it’s too much for me," he told Sky Sports before Wednesday's defeat at Goodison Park.

"I like physical football, I have no problem with that, we play that, other teams play that, but in that game very often people put too much in. I can’t say it’s my favourite game of the year to be honest, because of that."

While Liverpool will mourn his departure, Klopp will be pleased to have at least seen the back of both when he leaves the club this summer.
