Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been snapped alongside predecessor Brendan Rodgers in Spain as the German makes the most of his time away from football.

The 56-year-old arrived at Anfield in October 2015 following the dismissal of Rodgers, who went on to manage Celtic and Leicester City. Klopp is taking a break away from the game after his own exit from Liverpool following his trophy-laden tenure.

Rodgers is meanwhile celebrating a double after guiding Celtic to league and cup triumphs last season in what is his second stint at the club. The Northern Irishman met with a journalist in Spain reporting for a Belfast publication, who managed to meet two ex-Liverpool managers in one visit.

Klopp was enjoying the sun alongside wife Ulla and reporter Steven Beacom bumped into them while meeting with Rodgers. He took a photo to mark the moment, writing on X: “Three guys out in the Spanish sun, two magnificent managers and one fun pic…

“Great to see Brendan and Jurgen looking so relaxed and enjoying themselves.” He added: ‘And a big Thank You, Gracias, Danke to Jurgen's lovely wife Ulla for taking the picture.”

Klopp has been spotted several times since bidding Anfield a final farewell. After enjoying a goodbye ceremony in front of 11,000 Liverpool fans at the M&S Bank Arena, he was seen watching former club Borussia Dortmund take on Real Madrid at Wembley in this month’s Champions League final.

Klopp has also set up his own Instagram account - ‘Kloppo’ - to keep Reds and general football fans engaged with his life post-Liverpool. On it, he has been seen playing padel after giving behind-the-scenes glimpses into his final days at Liverpool and the farewell ceremony.
