Key Newcastle United defensive change for game against Man Utd at Old Trafford

KIERAN TRIPPIER returns to Newcastle United's starting line-up for this evening's game against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Trippier ended a two-month injury absence when he came off the bench in the dying seconds of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Brighton.

And with Tino Livramento not featuring in this evening's squad, the England international is back in the starting side in the only change to the team that kicked off at St James' Park at the weekend.

The switch at right-back is the only alteration to the weekend line-up, although Fabian Schar is back on the substitutes' bench, having been absent because of injury on Saturday.

Nick Pope, Joelinton and Miguel Almiron are also named on the bench, but Callum Wilson remains an absentee because of illness.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has also made one change to his starting side, with Bruno Fernandes returning from injury to replace Rasmus Hojlund, who is dropped to the bench.

Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford are back in the hosts' squad after recovering from injury, but are only deemed to be fit enough to feature on the bench.
