NEWPORT County AFC’s League Two trip to Swindon is their first fixture to be shifted under the new EFL broadcast agreement with Sky Sports.

The Exiles’ trip to the County Ground will remain on Saturday, September 14 but now has an earlier kick-off time of 12.30pm for live coverage.

Every League One and League Two team will be featured live on Sky at least 20 times next season, replacing the iFollow streaming service.

The broadcaster has pledged to confirm their selections for the period up to the third round of the FA Cup in January before the start of the season.

The game between Chesterfield and Swindon has been moved to Friday, August 9 to get League Two under way with the rest of the opening weekend games all being on Sky Sports+ in the usual 3pm slot.

The trip to Swindon is the only other league game to be chosen in the first two months of the campaign.

“While some matches will be rescheduled for broadcast purposes, the majority of fixtures won't be moved,” said a statement.

The Exiles, under a new head coach, start their campaign at Cheltenham on Saturday, August 10 (kick-off 3pm).
