Kieran Tierney and Andy Robertson Scotland goal kick celebration scorned as duo scolded

Kieran Tierney and Andy Robertson have both been told "you should know better" after celebrating a goal kick for Scotland against Germany... just FOUR minutes into the game.

The pair were ridiculed on social media for the reaction to an early duel victory as the Scots were destroyed 5-1 by the Euro hosts on opening night. Former Scotland striker Alan McInally has now waded into the issue and scolded the defensive duo as their focus should have been on the rest of the game rather than one moment.

KT nudged the ball off eventual man of the match Jamal Musiala and that triggered a defiant pumping of the fists from the Arsenal man who was cuddled by his captain.

But it didn't sit right with McInally after easing early German pressure. "The boys should be better than that," he told Betfair.

"It’s all right having a good comradery within the group, and the lads will have known it’s a difficult opening game against the hosts, but they shouldn’t have been celebrating winning a goal-kick.

"We should have been properly focused on the game. We knew it was a big team to take on. I thought the goalie should have saved the first Germany goal and then that put us under a bit of pressure."
