Lambert's 40 points lead Cooperstown boys to Dick White Tournament win

Dec. 27—Charlie Lambert's 40-point performance led the Cooperstown boys basketball team to a 68-39 win over Richfield Springs in the first round of the Dick White Tournament in Cooperstown Wednesday.

Lambert added four steals while Conrad Erway grabbed 15 rebounds and Cooper Bradley had five points, eight rebounds and three blocks in the win.

Bradyn Dunckel led Richfield Springs with 11 points in the loss.

Cooperstown will take on Delhi in the championship Thursday.

Delhi 85, Beaver River 44Delhi defeated Beaver River 85-44 in the first round of the Dick White Tournament in Cooperstown Wednesday.

Ivan Richardson led the way for the Bulldogs with 18 points, seven assists and five rebounds while Chuck Haight had 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Angelo Krzyston had 12 points and nine rebounds while Seamus deMauro had 11 points and 9 rebounds in the win.

Matthew Knight had 14 points to lead Beaver River.

Delhi will play Cooperstown Thursday in the championship.

Milford 64, Roxbury 47

Milford defeated Roxbury in the first round of the Pat Grasso Tournament in Laurens Wednesday.

Christian Lawson led the way with 28 points while Carter Stevens added 11 points and Evan Clark graded 15 rebounds in the win.

Taran Davis led Roxbury with 11 points.

Milford will take on South Kortright in the championship game Thursday.

South Kortright 80, Gilbertsville-Mount Upton 41

South Kortright defeated Gilbertsville-Mount Upton 80-41 in the first round of the Pat Grasso Tournament in Laurens Wednesday.

Jacob Staroba led the Rams with 19 points while Connor Quarino added 18 points and JB Trimbell netted 12 points in the win.

Devon Hartwell led G-MU with 15 points in the loss.

South Kortright will take on Milford in the championship game Thursday.

The Bainbridge-Guilford girls basketball team cruised to an 85-24 win over Tioga in the first round of the Kazalski Tournament Wednesday at B-G.

Johnna Henderson had 23 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals while Jayslin Henderson had 18 points, eight rebounds and four steals in the win.

Marissa Mayo added a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds while Chandler Benjamin had 10 points and Peyton Umbra had 14 assists for B-G.
