Former Celtic midfielder Landry N'Guemo has tragically passed away at the age of just 38.

It was announced today that the ex-Cameroon international lost his life following a fatal car accident in his homeland. N'Guemo spent the 2009-2010 season on loan at Parkhead from first club Nancy, making 43 appearances under Tony Mowbray and Neil Lennon. He later had spells at Bordeaux, AS Saint-Étienne, Turkish clubs Akhisar Belediyespor and Kayserispor, before finishing his career in Norway with Kongsvinger.

N'Guemo's driver was also pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation has been launched by local authorities to further determine the causes of the devastating tragedy.
