Rangers have ramped up their summer transfer plans as they close in on FOUR new signings.

The Ibrox club have already added Jefte, Oscar Cortes and Clinton Nsiala to their ranks as Philippe Clement overhauls his squad. The Belgian has made it clear he wants as many new faces in the door as possible ahead of the club's return to pre-season training on Monday. And he looks set to get his wish as the Light Blues are poised to unveil Connor Barron as their latest capture.

The Scotland Under-21 midfielder has set his heart on a move to Govan after rejecting approaches from England and Italy following the expiry of his Aberdeen contract. It's believed Barron will put pen to paper on a four-year deal over the next 24 hours, although Gers will have to thrash out a compensation package with the Dons or gamble by taking the case to a tribunal.

The Pittodrie club would've been due £525,000 if Barron had moved outside Scotland and they'll demand a decent fee from their Premiership rivals for their homegrown talent. Barron will be joined at Ibrox by Liam Kelly once the out-of-contract Motherwell keeper returns from the Euros with Scotland.

Kelly, 28, came through the youth ranks at Ibrox and will return to the club to provide competition for Jack Butland, with Robby McCrorie expected to depart in search for regular first-team football. The arrivals of Barron and Kelly will also boost Rangers' homegrown quota for European competition.

Meanwhile it's believed Rangers are in advanced talks to sign highly-rated Bayern Munich winger Yusuf Kabadayi despite reports that he could be on his way to Turkey. It's been said that a deal of around £1million has been agreed with the German giants as Clement seeks to bolster his wide options.

Rangers also hope to wrap up a £1.5m deal to sign Moroccan starlet Hamza Igamane from FAR Rabat. Striker Igamane - who can also play as a winger - is one of the rising stars in North Africa and the 21-year-old is on the verge of earning his first senior international call-up.

In terms of outgoings, The Scottish Sun reports that the Glasgow giants are open to offers for Todd Cantwell. The playmaker, 26, has struggled for consistency since arriving from Norwich City in January 2023 and it appears he has yet to fully win over manager Clement.

Cantwell was dropped for two powderkeg Old Firm clashes at Ibrox and Celtic Park and incurred the wrath of Clement after last month's Scottish Cup final defeat as footage emerged showing the fuming Belgian shoving his player out of the way as he remonstrated with match officials.

The futures of long-serving duo James Tavernier and Connor Goldson are also up in the air as speculation surrounding a potential reunion with Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq refuse to go away.
