Charlton manager Lee Bowyer will make several changes at Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday as the club bid to get their play-off push back on track after successive defeats.

Charlton have dropped to eighth in League One and Bowyer believes they need to win three of their remaining four games to finish in the top six.

Full-backs Ezri Konsa and Lewis Page will come back into the team, while Josh Magennis, Stephy Mavididi and Tariqe Fosu could start. Charlton are two points outside the play-off places and Bowyer said some of his players were tired after their 1-0 defeat to Scunthorpe on Saturday.

And Bowyer needs his team to respond to that loss, with Charlton facing two difficult away games this week which could be crucial to their play-off hopes. After facing third-placed Shrewsbury tonight they take on play-off rivals Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Saturday.

Charlton then host second-placed Blackburn at The Valley next Saturday before an away game at relegation-threatened Rochdale on the final day.Defender Page said: “We will have to win most of our games but we know we can beat anyone on our day.

“Hopefully we can kick on now and get ourselves to the play-offs.”

Meanwhile, Chris Solly will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Solly injured his right knee against Blackpool in March and will undergo exploratory key-hole surgery this week in a bid to fix the problem.

The defender has had knee troubles throughout his career and hopes to be fit for the start of next season.
