Lewis Ferguson to Juventus transfer rumours given frank answer by agent

Lewis Ferguson is only focused on getting back to fitness for Bologna and NOT any transfer talk.

The Scotland midfielder was expected to make a stunning move from Bologna to one of Italy's giants, with Juventus seeming the most likely. That was until he suffered a devastating cruciate ligament injury that not only heartbreakingly ruled him out of Scotland's Euro 2024 campaign but appeared to rob him of a life-changing move.

However, rumours linking him with Juve have still been swirling, especially after his old boss Thiago Motta made the move to Turin. November is the 24-year-old's target date for even getting back to action though and agent Bill McMurdo insists he'll be focusing on his rehab rather than exploring any moves.

He said: "The transfer stories about Lewis are absolutely news to me. There has been no contact of any kind so far, they are just rumours. Lewis is focusing exclusively on his rehabilitation and can't wait to return to play for Bologna. His goal is to fully recover his physical fitness. He is perfectly happy at Bologna."

Ferguson won an award for Serie A's to midfielder last season and also has 13 goals in 58 Serie A starts for Bologna after moving from Aberdeen in 2022.
