Lewis Morgan added to Scotland Euro 2024 provisional squad after Ben Doak withdrawal

Lewis Morgan has been added to Scotland's Euro 2024 provisional squad after Ben Doak withdrew through injury.

The New York Red Bulls star has been tearing up the MLS this season with nine goals and three assists from just 16 outings including a stunning hat-trick against Lionel Messi's Inter Miami. The former Celtic and St Mirren wide man already has two caps to his name in the dark blue of Scotland with appearances against Peru and Mexico, but now he hopes to make his mark at a major tournament for the first time.

The 27-year-old will likely feature tomorrow evening in the friendly against Finland as Steve Clarke's troops look to finalise their preparation for Germany.

It comes after Doak, the Liverpool youngster, was forced to pull out which also added to the disappointment of losing Lyndon Dykes through injury as he was stretchered off in training.

Tommy Conway's call-up this week also means Clarke still has 28 players to choose from when he makes his final choice on the 26-man squad he'll take on the plane to face Germany, Hungary and Switzerland in the group.
