Lions vs. 49ers same game parlay: Here's a +1461 bet for the NFC conference championship

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (85) celebrates with wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (11) after scoring a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers during the second quarter in a 2024 NFC divisional round game at Levi's Stadium.
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (85) celebrates with wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (11) after scoring a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers during the second quarter in a 2024 NFC divisional round game at Levi's Stadium.

It's a battle between a former first overall pick and the last pick of the draft at quarterback as the San Francisco 49ers host the Detroit Lions for the 2024 NFC championship game.

It's been a long time coming for the Detroit Lions, who will be playing in their first NFC championship in over 30 years. The 49ers, meanwhile, will be participating in their fourth such game in the last five seasons. Somehow though this is the second NFC championship game appearance for both quarterbacks.

San Francisco's Brock Purdy was the team's starting quarterback last season against the Philadelphia Eagles, where he ultimately had to leave the game after injuring his elbow. Jared Goff, on the other hand, played in the NFC championship game in 2019. That was the infamous no-call pass interference game. Where Goff would go on to win the game and lose to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, the 49ers would not get a chance to play in the Super Bowl at all. Now, both are back and looking for another opportunity to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

Tensions will be high. Both teams boast phenomenal offenses. It may very well come down to which team has the ball last.

Here are our picks for a same-game parlay that could net you some serious cash. Odds and lines via BetMGM.

Lions-49ers same game parlay for the NFC championship

Brandon Aiyuk over 76.5 receiving yards, Brandon Aiyuk under 5.5 receptions, Jahmyr Gibbs over 9.5 carries, Michael Badgley over 2.5 PATs made (+1712)

Brandon Aiyuk over 76.5 receiving yards (-135)

Fellow 49ers wide reciever Deebo Samuel is cleared to play on Sunday. In his last four games without Samuel playing, Aiyuk has put up more than 80 yards three times, crossing the century mark twice.

Even with Samuel in the lineup, Aiyuk has proven capable of providing massive performances even with a crowded receiver room. While Aiyuk did not have a great game against Green Bay in the divisional round, he should have more luck without Jaire Alexander following him around. The Lions have surrendered at least 230 receiving yards to opposing wide receivers in five straight games. Four of those games saw the opposing wideouts with at least 260.

Brandon Aiyuk under 4.5 receptions (+124)

This might go against everything just laid out with the previous bet. The Lions have allowed opposing wideouts to secure at least 15 passes in five straight games. Aiyuk will be competing with both Samuel and Jauan Jennings for catches.

Aiyuk will be in for a smaller workload. The only worry is if game script favors a much more pass-heavy approach from San Francisco, but given the 49ers' offensive struggles last week, it's likely they try to lean more on Christian McCaffrey this time around, especially considering the Lions just surrendered 5.69 yards per carry to Rachaad White last weekend.

Jahmyr Gibbs over 9.5 carries (-135)

The Lions may use David Montgomery more than Jahmyr Gibbs, but make no mistake, the team knows who the better running back is. Gibbs has been given double-digit carries in each of the team's last four losses.

When the going gets tough, the Lions turn to their most talented back in Gibbs. The 49ers should provide a serious test. The Lions will want to put their best foot forward early. Although Gibbs may not get in the endzone with Montgomery taking over most of the goal-line work, Gibbs should still see more carries than his line indicates. Keep in mind, prior to the playoffs, Gibbs had reached at least ten carries in five straight games.

Michael Badgley over 2.5 PATs made (+130)

This is not a bet on Badgley, but rather a bet on the Lions' offense as a whole. Even though Lions quarterback Jared Goff tends to play worse on the road than he does at home, that doesn't mean the Lions can't still score on the ground. This game has the potential to be an absolute shootout, and even if the 49ers pull away early, the Lions are not a team that will go down quietly. They will push and fight and score as often as possible, even if it is a fruitless endeavor.

The Lions have scored at least 21 points in all but four games this season. The Niners have a great defense, but in games with high stakes, oftentimes, both offenses come to play more than either defense. The biggest worry is, unsurprisingly, Lions head coach Dan Campbell. Campbell loves to take risks. It's part of his charm, but it does make this bet somewhat risky. If there is ever a question of whether or not the Lions should attempt a two-point conversion, Campbell will likely take that risk. Still, in Badgley's six games with Detroit, he has made at least three PATs in five.
