Lisnaskea stroll to derby win over Maguiresbridge

Lisnaskea strolled to a comfortable win over neighbours Maguiresbridge to make it two wins and a draw in 2B of the Club Players’ Competition for John Reihill’s side.
Two early goals from Hayden Lynch put Lisnaskea in the ascendency at Emmet Park before the ‘Bridge hit back with two quickfire goals, however, the hosts would run away with things netting a third goal before halftime and two more in the second-half.
Manager Reihill said after the game: “Happy with the win. Maguiresbridge had 11 men missing, we had seven missing.
"We started well with the two goals and they came back well in the middle of the first-half and had more possession causing us plenty of headaches. A good save from Aidan Keenan prevented a third goal before halftime.
"I was much happier with our control in the second-half.”
Lynch began the scoring catching a high ball in and running all the way through on goal before finishing.
Eoghan McCabe added a point before Lynch found the net again in the opening few moments.
The away side responded well to the second goal and came back into the game with Ryan Hyde releasing Sean Porteous in behind the ‘Skea defence and he squared the ball across to Dwayne Rice to rifle into the net.
A brilliant individual run from Tommy McGrory saw the visitors grab their second goal in quick succession as he used his pace from half-back to run all the way in and flick the ball into the top right corner from close range.
A goal from Niall Keenan with points from McCabe, Justy McDade and Damian Óg Kelly edged the Emmets further ahead while Luke St Ledger converted a 45’ for the ‘Bridge and was then shown a black card before the interval as Reihill’s side went in 3-06 to 2-01 ahead.
The ‘Bridge only managed two points in the second half via Sean Porteous and another St Ledger 45’ as Skea added goals through McCabe and McDade with points coming from Niall Keenan, Sean Keenan, McCabe, McDade, Kelly, Mark Smith and an Aidan Keenan 45’ to close out the win.
