Spain are dominating possession as expected very early on and England are getting no time on the ball.

Spain are pushing the ball around and enjoying 80 per cent possession.

Yet for all their fancy touches and neat work, Spain are not probing. They are denying England any space but with 18 minutes gone, the score is still 0-0.

But here we are with 20 minutes gone, there has not been a shot on target and England's 15-match unbeaten run goes on.

40: Fabian Delph enjoys the game's second effort on target, firing directly at Casillas from outside the area.

For all the fact that Spain have enjoyed 68 per cent possession we reach half time with the score SPAIN 0 ENGLAND 0. To be honest, it's been like watching paint dry but given all the experts said England would be destroyed by 'technically superior' Spain, Roy Hodgson will be happy with the first 45 minutes.

Spain have taken Iniesta off and England coach Gary Neville has been chatting to Adam Lallana about what that means...
