Liverpool's away and third kits for the 2024/25 season have been 'leaked' on X. Photos appear to show both Nike jerseys ahead of their official launch.

Nike and Liverpool revealed the new home strip towards the end of last season, with the Reds wearing the 'retro' number for the final game of the campaign against Wolves. That, of course, was its first and only outing during the Jurgen Klopp tenure, with footage from that match set to become something of an anachronism ahead of the Arne Slot reign.

And now we might have a better idea about what Slot's first season could look like — visually, if nothing else. Assuming these kit leaks prove accurate, Nike is relying on a simple range of base colors: joining red for the home jersey, we're getting a more-or-less black away shirt, with a white third kit.

The away jersey is technically a 'Night Forest' color, according to Footy Headlines. 'Anthracite, washed teal and sail' complete the colorway — although the easiest way to describe it is that it's a near-replica of the colors from the 2019/20 third kit produced by New Balance, which Liverpool wore on the way to winning the Premier League title.

Nike is using a block section of 'Night Forest', while New Balance went for a bolder background pattern, but they are remarkably similar jerseys. Slot would be happy if it was a remarkably similar season.

As for the third kit, it's again reminiscent of jerseys that have gone before for Liverpool. White with a red trim has always been a recipe for success, with this shirt joining a pantheon of classics in that particular genre.

However, there are certain distinctive elements that make this effort stand out. Firstly, as with other Nike third kits for the new season, the famous 'Swoosh' logo is printed vertically.

Meanwhile, there's an interesting all-over pattern in the background of the jersey, while the red trim also has a thread of yellow running through it. These could be Nike's final offerings, amid reports that Liverpool will switch to Adidas from 2025/26.

Liverpool.com says: That third kit is a real winner for me, if the leaks prove accurate. There's shades of Adidas in 2007/08 or New Balance in 2015/16. Going further back, it follows an elite template from the late 1970s and 1980s.

The away jersey is also quite nice, even if it feels pretty safe. Ultimately, the way the kits are remembered will be dictated by how Slot gets on in his debut campaign, but they're decent designs on which to bow out for Nike.
