Liverpool have reiterated their commitment to engaging with the relevant bodies to ensure none of their remaining Premier League fixtures need be played at neutral venues.

The dates of the Reds’ next three games - Everton away, Crystal Palace at home, and Manchester City away - were confirmed on Friday afternoon.

The threat of those trips to Goodison Park and Etihad Stadium being scrapped in favour of neutral venues still remains due to police concerns.

However, Liverpool remain in dialogue with supporter unions, police bodies and the local council in a combined effort to avoid that outcome.

A statement read: "Following the Premier League’s announcement confirming some initial fixtures to restart the season, Liverpool FC has already engaged with partners from Liverpool City Council, Merseyside Police, Spirit of Shankly, Everton Football Club and Blue Union in positive discussions and are all committed to working together to restart the season safely.

"As with normal match day arrangements, all key partners are committed to creating a comprehensive joined up plan in line with government and public health advice which prioritises the safety and wellbeing of the local community, supporters, staff, players, and the professional support services who are vital to the success of behind closed doors match day operations.

"Our aim is to ensure these games are completed with the least risk to public health and without adding further strain on the NHS and other public services.

"Further dialogue is scheduled next week between all partners involved and together will provider regular updates for supporters throughout this process."
