Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd nightmare - Arsenal Premier League 2024/25 fixtures simulated

The fixtures for the 2024/25 Premier League season will be announced on Tuesday morning as clubs eagerly wait to see who they will face on the opening weekend.

Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton supporters will be keen to find out their fate having been promoted from the Championship, while Arsenal fans will want a decent start as it could help with a third consecutive title challenge. Last season the Gunners faced Nottingham Forest on the opening weekend at Emirates Stadium, with Mikel Arteta's side coming out 2-1 winners.

Over the past five years Arsenal have started the new campaign away from home four times so it will be fascinating to see who they face this time around. Unlike the case with regard to European competitions, there is no seeding for Premier League fixtures, meaning the north London outfit can be pitted against any one of the other 19 teams in the division.

The new Premier League campaign starts on the weekend of August 17/18, 90 days after the 2023/24 Premier League season concluded on May 19. The final gameweek of the 2024/25 season will be played on May 25, 2025, when all matches will kick off simultaneously as usual.

Ahead of the fixtures being released at 9am on Tuesday, football.london used a fixture simulator to determine the opening six rounds of games. According to the simulator, Arsenal will welcome Leicester City to Emirates Stadium on the opening weekend. Having lost Enzo Maresca to Chelsea, Leicester could be seen as the ideal opponent for the Gunners.

After Leicester, however, it gets a little trickier. Arteta's side travel to Anfield to face Liverpool under new manager Arne Slot before then welcoming champions Manchester City to north London. If that wasn't enough, Arsenal then face Manchester United at Old Trafford to cap off a nightmare start fixture wise for the Gunners.
