Liverpool will be back in Premier League action in under two months as Arne Slot readies himself for the challenge of replacing Jurgen Klopp.

Unlike other Premier League clubs, who have been quick to move in the transfer market, the Reds are yet to complete any deals of their own. There remains plenty of time for transfers to be completed, however, which supporters will be eagerly awaiting.

Liverpool's business last summer can be viewed as a success for the most part, despite Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch both failing to sustain prolonged periods of form over the campaign. Alexis Mac Allister was the club's standout signing and maintained strong performance levels throughout the season.

As talk continues regarding who could be on their way in or out of Anfield this summer, we have rounded up some of the latest reports regarding such links.

Adrian update

Real Betis are seemingly confident of bringing Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian back to his hometown club.

The Spaniard started his professional career with Betis and could be heading home this summer, despite being offered a new deal by the Reds.

The latest report on the future of the 37-year-old from Diario de Sevilla has made clear Adrian is not "coming to spend a sabbatical year" and believes he will be challenging for a regular starting role in the side.

The article adds Adrian is free to move after "ending his relationship" with Liverpool, paving the way for him to return to Spain this summer.

The Liverpool ECHO says: Adrian could easily have extended his stay on Merseyside as a third-choice keeper, knowing full well he would be unlikely to feature once again at first-team level. But, if reports regarding his future are to be believed, he has had a change of heart and is keen to play on a regular basis. It is understandable after five years of serving the Reds, during which period he has rarely been called upon.

Galatasaray star backed for Liverpool move

Gaziantep manager Selçuk İnan has shared his belief that Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yılmaz is capable of one day playing for Liverpool.

Yılmaz signed for his current club in 2021 and has helped the Turkish giants to two league titles and one Super Cup trophy during this time.

His performances have resulted in him being linked with the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, though it remains to be seen whether the 24-year-old will be on the move.

Shining in Turkey's win over Czech Republic at Euro 2024 on Wednesday evening, Yılmaz came in for praise from former Galatasaray midfielder Inan. Speaking to NutSpor, he said: "I think Baris Alper Yılmaz can play very comfortably for many teams in the Premier League at the moment. He’s a very special player. We worked a lot together.

"If Barıs Alper improves himself with his final ball, he can easily play for the best clubs in the world such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Arsenal. He’s a player with a lot of potential. Hopefully, he will get that chance and represent them."

The Liverpool ECHO says: Liverpool are yet to be directly linked with the player, who has featured in all three of Turkey's games at Euro 2024. Capable of playing across the whole of the front line, he would certainly serve as a versatile option for the Reds if they chose to pursue a move at any point. A deal seems unlikely for now, despite the praise that has come his way.
