Liverpool is interested in signing Real Madrid duo Rodrygo and Arda Guler this summer as the Reds vie to capitalize on Kylian Mbappe's blockbuster move to the Spanish capital.

Competition for places in Los Blancos' front three next season is set to be fierce, with former Paris Saint-Germain superstar Mbappe joining an attacking corps that already includes Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham, and new Liverpool boss Arne Slot and the returning CEO Michael Edwards hope to pounce on the surplus, with the Brazilian and Turkish stars in their sights.

The imminent arrival of teenage phenomenon Endrick from Palmeiras only bolsters Real manager Carlo Ancelotti's options in attack, sparking a sense at Anfield that a deal for Rodrygo or Guler could be attainable this summer. According to Estadio Deportivo, the Reds are assessing the feasibility of securing a deal, although it remains unclear at this stage if Real will oblige.

Rodrygo, 23, played a huge role in Real's La Liga and Champions League triumphs last season, notching 15 goals and eight assists across 47 appearances in the competitions. Guler, meanwhile, played a much more limited role, but the 19-year-old winger still made his mark when he got the chance, scoring six goals in 10 La Liga appearances.

The teenager has become a breakout star of Euro 2024, scoring one of the goals of the tournament so far as he found the top corner from long range to secure Turkey's win over Georgia in Dortmund on Tuesday.

Both players would represent a significant boost to Slot's attacking options as he takes the reins at Anfield. With Diogo Jota hampered by injuries, Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz struggling for form and Mohamed Salah's powers waning as he turns 32 years old, replenishing the attacking resources is a top priority for Slot and Edwards this summer if the Reds are to contend for the Premier League title.

While a move for Guler appears ambitious, with Madrid seemingly under no pressure to part ways with such a prodigious young talent, an approach for Rodrygo appears more feasible. Entering his prime years, he faces being phased out of Ancelotti's starting XI at the Santiago Bernabeu.

With three La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues already to his name, a fresh challenge and a more prominent role could be appealing for the 23-cap Brazil international. According to UOL, Rodrygo could force a move away from the Bernabeu this summer to avoid the prospect of a frustrating season with plenty of time spent on the bench.

The Reds are yet to make their first signing of the summer, with the departures of midfielder Thiago and center-back Joel Matip on free transfers confirmed at the end of last season.
