Conor Bradley's international teammates are convinced that the youngster is on the path to establishing himself as one of the best players in his position in the world after his breakout campaign at Liverpool.

The Northern Irish full back has became a fan favorite on the Kop for his spirited displays during the 2023-24 campaign as he made 23 appearances, scoring once. The 20-year-old has long been tipped as an emerging talent in the Reds' academy and made a strong case for a chance in the first team during a successful loan spell at Bolton Wanderers during the previous term.

Called upon to deputize for Trent Alexander-Arnold by Jurgen Klopp last season, he was handed his Premier League bow against Bournemouth in a 4-0 win in January. At the end of the same month, he put in a memorable Man of the Match display versus Chelsea, contributing a goal and two assists in the 4-1 victory.

Now, international teammate Brodie Spencer has predicted that his compatriot will blossom into a world-class footballer in the coming years. After Bradley scored twice versus Andorra in a 2-0 win, the Huddersfield Town ace said to the Belfast Telegraph: "Conor Bradley is going to go on to be one of the best players in the world.

"The season he has had, he’s been absolutely unbelievable and to be able to play alongside him is so good. It’s such a relief for me playing at centre back and just having him beside me. He’s always there and supporting and he is able to get out of difficult situations, score goals and make things happen in attack. It’s great to be playing with him.

Offering some insight into what it is like to play alongside a star of Bradley's quality, his countryman also added: "For me against Andorra it was a bit more natural playing on the right hand side especially with Conor. He is such a top player and makes the job look very easy."

Earning his first trophy of with Liverpool last term in the form of the EFL Cup, the Northern Irishman acknowledged that he was delighted with his progress last term. He said: "We wanted more than one Cup but it was a brilliant season on a personal note. All my dreams came true in the past 12 months. It’s been special and onwards to next season. We want to keep getting better and keep improving."

Looking forward to working with new Reds head coach Arne Slot, he added: "Obviously there are going to be massive changes within the club. There will be new ideas and fresh faces and hopefully it will go well and we can get off to a good start."
