Liverpool are aiming to book their place in the Champions League knockout stages with a game to spare when Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli visit Anfield on Wednesday evening.

Napoli are the only side to defeat England in normal time this season, with Jurgen Klopp‘s side still unbeaten in the Premier League, and the Italians can also secure their spot in the knockout rounds with a win.

Liverpool have won their last 17 games at Anfield and haven’t actually tasted defeat at home in the Champions League since October 2014.

Ancelotti’s side arrive for the fixture in a state of relative internal turmoil after a litany of reports of unrest between key senior players and owner Aurelio De Laurentiis stemming from the club’s poor Serie A form, which has seen them drop to seventh in Serie A.

Here is everything you need to know about the game:

Confirmed line-ups

Liverpool: Alisson; Gomez, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Milner, Fabinho, Henderson; Salah, Mane, Firmino.

Napoli: Meret, Maksimovic, Manolas, Koulibaly, Mario Rui, Di Lorenzo, Allan, Zielinski, Fabian, Mertens, Lozano.

When is it?

The match is on Wednesday 27 November.

When does it kick-off?

The match gets underway at 8:00pm.

How can I watch the match?

The match will be available to watch and stream on BT Sport 2 and the BT Sport App.

What are the odds?

  • Liverpool to win: 2/5

  • Draw: 19/5

  • Napoli to win: 13/2

Prediction:

Liverpool have been relentless this season and, despite being forced into a pattern of grinding out late wins, the possibility of ensuring their qualification – and securing a much-needed rest for some of their senior players in their final game against Salzburg – coupled by the fiery fortress atmosphere at Anfield will haul Klopp’s side through a tricky encounter.
